Building a New Home and Understanding the Home Building Process

Updated: Feb 8, 2018

Your new home can be built on land you own or land that you acquire , or on a lot that we own. You can bring a example floor plan to start with and our local architect can make any requested changes to it for you, or you can select one of their set of floor plans and make changes to it, or we can start with a brand new design to be drawn from scratch. You’ll be involved in the process from start to finish and have the opportunity to make many decisions. On selections, you can pick from nearly any product in a category from a variety of showrooms— within your budget, of course – rather than selecting from a defined menu of choices. While many people associate custom homes with large and expensive homes, a custom home can range from a simpler one or 2 story home to a more elaborate and complex floor plan designed around your lifestyle. Knowing in advance what to expect at each stage of construction and especially what choices you’ll make and when — can make your custom home process smooth and result in the home you've always dreamed about. Each builder has a different building process and different building practices, so be sure to ask plenty of questions in advance. Our master craftsman have worked closely with us for many years to give you the best product for the fairest price. Homeowners feel very comfortable choosing Boyd because we are the most experienced home builder in the area with our team of experts. This ensures a quality built home that you will be very proud of.
